Meet Stella Badalyan, LMHC & Certified Life Coach
I am a Licensed Therapist and Certified Life Coach dedicated to helping individuals come home to themselves and reconnect with their inner resources. My work is rooted in the belief that healing is not about fixing, but remembering the wholeness that has always existed within you.
Through a gentle, integrative approach, I help clients reconnect with their inner child, inner wisdom, authentic self, and natural capacity for healing. Together, we explore the deeper layers of your experience, where unprocessed emotions and trauma can gently unwind, allowing your natural energy to flow more freely.
I honor the body's wisdom, recognizing that many of the patterns and reenactments we experience are not signs that something is wrong, but invitations toward completion, gentle attention, and care. Healing happens when we learn to listen with compassion, allowing those parts of ourselves to be seen, heard, processed, integrated, and ultimately transformed.

My approach weaves together psychology, neuroscience, intuition, and holistic healing. Depending on your unique needs, our work may incorporate Mindfulness, Inner Child Work, Energy Psychology, Psychosomatic Bodywork, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Art Therapy, Instinctual Trauma Response (ITR), Dreamwork, Jungian Shadow Work, Energy Center (Chakra) work, Plant Medicine and Retreat Integration, and other evidence-based and integrative approaches. Every session is thoughtfully tailored to meet you exactly where you are.
I hold degrees in Psychology from Yerevan State University and Mental Health Counseling from The City University of New York. My advanced training includes certifications from Harvard Medical School in Meditation and Psychotherapy, the ITR Institute as a Trauma Specialist, and Columbia University's Center for Practice Innovations in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma, along with numerous additional professional trainings.
I have also completed and facilitated leadership development programs, allowing me to thoughtfully integrate psychology with coaching and leadership principles when appropriate. This creates space not only for emotional healing, but also for greater clarity, alignment, confidence, and meaningful action.
Creativity has always been an important part of my life and clinical work. My background in Fine Arts and Design, including training at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City, inspired me to integrate creativity, self-expression, and art into the healing process through workshops and experiential practices that engage both the mind and the senses.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of facilitating healing experiences around the world through workshops, retreats, meditation, community gatherings, and speaking engagements. These experiences have included:
-
Speaking and guiding healing practices at the Meaningful World Association's Mind-Body-Eco-Spirit Gathering at the United Nations Plaza.
-
Co-leading dream exploration at the Rubin Museum's Dream-Over, an overnight immersive journey into dreams and the unconscious.
-
Facilitating creative healing workshops in Central Park, New York.
-
Co-leading retreats and workshops with Women of Culture and Heart Tones, integrating art, sound healing, and mindful connection to support women's healing and personal growth.
-
Invited as a speaker for Armenia's Norluyce Mentorship Program, where I presented on the art therapeutic approach, mindfulness, and emotional well-being, supporting adolescents in cultivating self-awareness, resilience, and creative expression
-
Leading empowerment and personal growth program with youth through the Dream Project in the Dominican Republic (recipient of the 2023 UNESCO International Literacy Prize).
-
Presenting on integrative leadership and holistic healing at the LC International Presidential Meeting in Casablanca, Morocco.
I am especially passionate about supporting women through the sacred prenatal and postnatal transition. I view this season as a profound process of transformation, where both mother and child are born anew. During this tender chapter, I help women reconnect with their body's wisdom, soften external expectations, nurture themselves with compassion, and trust their own inner guidance.
I also believe that symptoms are meaningful messengers rather than problems to eliminate. In my research paper, Integrative Approach to Depression and Its Connection to Dreams, inspired by Jungian psychology, I explored how depression and dreams can serve as symbolic guides, offering insight into the deeper emotional and unconscious processes seeking our attention. Rather than silencing symptoms, I believe healing begins by developing a compassionate relationship with them, understanding the messages they carry, and allowing them to guide us toward greater wholeness.
In addition to my clinical work, I have written articles on self-care, burnout, leadership, group dynamics, and the distinction between eustress and distress. I remain deeply inspired by the ever-evolving intersection of psychology, neuroscience, contemplative practice, creativity, and human potential.
For over a decade, I have had the honor of walking alongside individuals on their journeys of healing, awakening, and self-discovery. My intention is to create a space of warmth, safety, and genuine connection where you can exhale, feel deeply seen, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and remember the wholeness that has always lived within you.
